BiH is doing everything for its citizens to continue to cross the border of Croatia with their ID cards, announced for “Dnevni Avaz” Igor Davidović, the Ambassador of BiH to the EU in Brussels, according to Fena.
However, he warned that it is early to talk about the final decision when it comes to Croatia’s request, which has the same interest as BIH citizens and that the process of reaching such a decision could last long.
“How and when BiH lobbys for visa liberalization, in focus will be the benefit of all BiH citizens, so I hope that the result will be positive’’, concluded Ambassador Davidović.
“The process of finally making a final decision can last a while and a lot can happen in the meantime. What I have to say is that BiH hopes and is doing everything for a positive outcome. It is now clear that BiH through this process has shown that to be a credible partner. Our lobbying for a positive solution is based on concrete agreements that go in our favor’’, said Davidović.
He said that lobbying is not only concentrated in Brussels, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs lobbied through bilateral embassies in member countries, and there is continued contact with all 27 EU member states and with Croatia.
