EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, said that any changes related to the Constitutional Court require the amendments of the Constitution of BiH, because the role and structure of these institutions are very clearly defined in the Constitution.
Ambassador was asked about the request for the departure of foreign judges of the Constitutional Court, and he answered that there is no consensus on this issue and that is why the issue takes time and energy that should be used for reforms.
“In my opinion, the question of the Constitutional Court or other political issues would be best solved through the process of integration in the EU. We should wait a little more with these issues,” said Wigemark.
