We asked the Citizens: Are Politicians Celebrities and do they follow Political Events?

They have yachts, airplanes, expensive suits, luxury real estate, and millions in bank accounts. We are not talking about Hollywood stars but about politicians from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

They exalted themselves in their positions, and who is to blame for that?

Citizens, in the vortex of their existence, shake their hands and heads at that question.

We asked citizens how they perceive politicians and whether they are real celebrities.

In Sarajevo, citizens believe that politicians could and should do their job better.

“Oh, I feel sick as soon as you mention them, what kind of celebrities are they, they earn 50.000 and then they hide in a bunker,”

”We are mistaken if we think that our politicians are celebrities,”

“They should do their job a little better, actually a lot better,”

“I don’t know who I would say is a celebrity, only Tito was a celebrity”, are some of the answers from the capital of BiH, Sarajevo.

The people of Banja Luka say that politicians should be at the service of citizens.

“Politicians should not be celebrities in society, they should be at the service of citizens, we are to blame for making them celebrities”.

Interview question: “Are politicians stars?”

“No, they’re not, I’m sorry I’m in a hurry”.

“I don’t care about celebrities, I don’t understand that mentality. They just act like celebrities”, say the citizens in the survey.

When it comes to the city on the River Neretva, the citizens sent clear messages.

“I skip it, I neither listen to them nor watch them on TV. But if you journalists skipped them more often, it would be better,”

“I wouldn’t talk about BiH politicians… I don’t want to”,

“They look after their own interests, they are not for the people… When there are elections, they do good for the citizens, but then they do their own thing. Sometimes politics makes me dizzy, but I watch it all the time.”

“They are very important to us – they ruined our lives, for everyone, including children and us and the generations that have no pensions. They are so negative”,

“Because they disgust me. I don’t want to worry, to put pressure on myself”,

“They don’t fight for the people, they only fight for themselves”,

“Ordinary people, I don’t consider them stars”,

“What kind of celebrities? They, famous stars?”, say the citizens of Mostar, N1 reports.
