Rejhan Demirdzic is a B&H theater, film, radio and television actor and a television screenwriter. He was born on this day – January 2, 1927 in Sarajevo.
Demirdzic was certainly a great individual for the BH Theater. His first performance was in Sarajevo’s National Theatre back in 1943. From 1945 to 1955 he acted in theater in Sabac, Titovo Uzice and Nis, and then he returned to Sarajevo.
He remained in memory of the listeners of Radio Sarajevo, together with Rudi Alvadjo, when they played very popular characters – Uzeir and Momo, after which were named two skyscrapers in Sarajevo.
To all the movie fans, Demirdzic was known for his roles in films and series: “Diverzanti”- The Saboteurs (1967), “Dervis i smrt” – Death and the Dervish (1974), “Sarajevski atentat- The Day That Shook the World (1975), “Husinska pobuna”- Husino rebellion, “Miris dunja”- The smell of quinces (1982), “Porobdzije” (1976), “Tale” (1977) , “Kože” – Skins (1982) and many other movies.
He died on August 22, 1988 in Sarajevo.
