sunnyAt the territory of the entire country, the rest of June will be marked by hot weather and temperatures above the perennial average. According to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH, weather between June 13 and June 29 will be stable in comparison with the past period.

The heat wave will affect the eastern areas of BiH. After the weekend, the heat wave might turn into a short-term heatstroke.

Climatologist Nedžad Voljevica says that there is still a possibility of occasional showers, in places even for stronger thunderstorms of local character.

“In the first several days, in the week between June 13 and June 19, there will be some stronger showers during afternoon hours. Then the chances for rainfall will decrease, Wednesday will be cloudy, and more significant rise in temperatures is expected on Thursday, and precisely that day will be the hottest day in the week ahead of us. The highest daily temperatures will reach 32 to 35 degrees,” Voljevica said.

Similar weather, with somewhat lower temperatures, is expected on Friday as well, when afternoon showers are possible again, especially in Krajina and the northeast of the country. During the weekend, temperatures will not be as high as in the middle of the week, maximum daily temperatures will range between 30 and 32 degrees, with fewer chances for rainfall.

Changing weather is expected in the period from June 20 until the end of the month. As of Monday, June 20, temperatures will gradually rise and reach their maximum in the days from June 23 until June 25, after which the country will be refreshed with rainfall, according to the current prognoses.
