Week of Gender Equality Lasting from 3 Until 7 March

equalityAccording to the Sector for public relations of PSB&H, The Commission for the realization of  gender equality in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H, on their 14th session, adopted and forwarded the Report about their work for 2013, as well as the Orientation work plan for 2014.

The Commission is also informed about the Activities Plan for the Week of Gender Equality, which will be held from the 3rd until 7th March 2014. Moreover, apart from other activities, there will be a thematic session of the Commission on the subject of: “Judicial protection of gender based and family violence”. This session will take place on the premises of the PSB&H.

Apart from the previously mentioned, the Commission verified the report about the work of the Commission for the allocation of the Awards for the contribution in the realization of gender equality in 2013. In addition, based on the public call, the Commission chose the three most successful candidates.

According to Fena, the Commission was informed about the naming of the representative in the House of Representatives and the member of the Commission for the realization of gender equality, Ismeta Dervoz, for the function of the first deputy of the chairman of the Committee for the equality and nondiscrimination of the Council of Europe.
