Doctor Abud Saric died in Sarajevo last night of consequences caused by coronavirus. This was confirmed for “Avaz” by his colleague doctor Dragan Stevanovic.

”We fought for his health and life for a long time, after a complication due to Covid. Unfortunately, he died after midnight. He was the president of the Independent Trade Union of Healthcare Workers in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of its founders, activists, and surgeon in the war. This is a great loss,” Stevanovic told Avaz.

Saric was a specialist in general surgery, a long-term employee of the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

”Our team was left without a professional, hard-working and dedicated colleague, sincere friend and surgeon with a big heart. We will remember him for his kindness and collegiality, always ready to help. We express our sincere condolences to the family,” they said from the General Hospital.
