What are Tourists mostly interested in Sarajevo?

Info Press Center faktor.baAccording to records run by the staff of Info press center of the Stari Grad Sarajevo Municipality, around 4,500 tourists visited the Info press center from January to December 2015. The largest number of tourists was recorded during August 2015, when over 1,000 tourists visited the office and asked for necessary information.

Tourists expressed interest in landmarks of Sarajevo, the cultural-historical monuments and the city core, as well as the surrounding mountains and the ways to reach them. Among the most frequently asked questions are those about gastro offer and where are traditional dished served, as well as where they can buy authentic souvenirs, i.e. something characteristic of Sarajevo.

Moreover, tourists often ask about how they can visit the war tunnel in Butmir. Three European countries from where the tourists visit the Info press center the most are France, Italy and Spain, while Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia are countries in the region from where tourists come most often.

Last month, the Info press center was visited by more than 200 tourists from the entire world, and the half of them visited the center during Christmas and New Year holidays. Given the holiday period, tourists were interested the most in best spots in the city to have a good party.

By comparison, in 2015 the Info press center was visited by around 3,000 tourists, and the largest number of visits was recorded in July when around 500 tourists visited the office and asked for necessary information.

Info press center of the Stari Grad Sarajevo Municipality is situated in the street Halači number 1 and it started working in February 2014.

Apart from numerous contacts with tourists, the staff of Info press center also provides necessary information to local population, respond to their inquiries or direct them to relevant institutions and inform them about procedures.
