What Decisions were adopted by the Presidency of BiH at the Meeting?

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has made a decision to allocate 1 million BAM from the Budget of BiH institutions for Ljubinje and Stolac to help repair the damage caused by the earthquake.

The Presidency of BiH has made a decision to set aside 50.000 BAM for the family of Elmira Sefo from Stolac, who died in the earthquake. The Presidency of BiH instructed the Council of Ministers of BiH to implement this decision.

Implementation Report adopted

Namely, the Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to participate in the international meeting “Stockholm +50: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity” which will be held in Stockholm, on June 2nd and 3rd, 2022.

The invitation of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski for the participatation in the “Prespa Forum Dialogue”, which will be held in Ohrid, from 16th to 18th June 2022, was also accepted.

BiH’s nomination for membership in the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO) was supported.

The Presidency of BiH adopted the Report on the Implementation of the Agreement on Subregional Arms Control and the Work of the Subregional Consultative Commission in 2021.

It is important to note that the Presidency of BiH approved the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), a non-profit private limited liability company.

Negotiating

The Presidency of BiH has made decisions on initiating the procedure for conducting negotiations for concluding the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, official, and special passports; Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on establishing the border procedure for the railway border crossing Brasina – Zvornik; Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Croatia (RH) on the reconstruction of the Brcko (BiH) – Gunja (RH) bridge on M-14.1 DC / 214 (RH); Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Lebanon on the readmission of persons residing without permits.

Accepting the agreement

The Presidency of BiH has made decisions on accepting the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Turkey (Turkiye) on the performance of income activities of dependent members of the staff of diplomatic missions and consular missions; Grant Agreement and Amendment 8 to the Financing Agreement of 27th February 2006, concluded between KFW, Frankfurt am Main (“KfW”) and BiH represented by the Council of Ministers of BiH (“Recipient”), in the amount of from 6.000.000.00 (6 million) EUR -Mitigating the impact of COVID-19 for micro, small and medium enterprises (MICMSME) through the European Fund for BiH (EFBH) -phase 2; Protocol amending the Free Trade Agreement between the countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and BiH, including amendments to the accompanying bilateral agreements on agriculture with the Swiss Confederation (including Liechtenstein), Norway, and Iceland.

Then, a decision was made to conduct negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement on Air Transport Services between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain; Agreement between BiH and the Kingdom of Spain on Mutual Recognition and Exchange of National Driving Licenses, Avaz writes.
