What do the Authorities in Sarajevo Canton say about alleged Shortage of Vaccines?

All vaccines in the Sarajevo Canton were spent according to the Immunization Plan, according to the Government of the Sarajevo Canton. Due to the interest of part of the public regarding the announcement about the suspension of vaccination in Zetra, and the suspicion of the disappearance of part of the vaccines, authorities of Canton Sarajevo offered an explanation.

Each dose in the total number of 12,800, assigned to the Sarajevo Canton, is known exactly where it was distributed and used, they said.

According to the immunization plan of the Public Health Institute of Sarajevo Canton, 10,960 of them were spent on Zetra, Astra Zeneca and Sinovac.

The difference of 1,840 doses was distributed among the staff and residents of nursing homes, mobile teams of all health centers in Canton Sarajevo for vaccination of our fellow citizens who are in the house for medical reasons, and medical staff who subsequently expressed interest in vaccination.

Some media reported that about 1,800 vaccines had disappeared. The immunization of the citizens of Sarajevo Canton, which was performed in the Zetra hall, with the vaccines that arrived in the first contingent, was completed last night.

According to the immunization plan of the Institute of Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton, 10,960 vaccines “AstraZeneca” and part of the vaccines “Sinovac” were used.
