What is happening with Investigation into the Devastation of the Partisan Cemetery?

The Association of Anti-Fascists and Fighters of the National Liberation War (UABNOR) Mostar stated that two months have passed since the devastation of the Partisan Cemetery in Mostar, and there is still no information about the results of the investigation.

”We are not and cannot be satisfied with the announcement that the investigation is ongoing and that the prosecutor’s office has opened a case. Citizens have the right to know how far it has come because the demolition of this monument has been going on for 30 years and the investigation is ongoing. Even more since after the last demolition act, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) said in a statement given to the media that the police always discover the perpetrators and that this gets stuck in the further procedure. In fact, he transferred the responsibility to the competent prosecutor’s office,” it was announced from UABNOR.

From that association, they called on the police to inform the public about the progress of the investigation because, as they say, the state of silence brings unrest and creates an atmosphere of mistrust in the city.
