What is Number of Unemployed Persons in BiH?

In July 2019 the number of registered unemployed in BiH amounted to 407.109.

If we take 2017 as a base year (2017 = 100) and compare July 2019 with the same month of 2018, we will notice that the number of unemployed decreased by 8,9 index points, or in absolute terms the number of people registered as unemployed decreased by 43.283.

If we compare registered unemployed by qualification structure, we will notice that the largest number of unemployed are highly skilled and skilled by 130.144 followed by those with a high school diploma by 114.781 and unskilled by 112.317.

The lowest number of unemployed are those with higher education by 6.538, followed by those semi-skilled by 7.474.

The share of female population in registered unemployed amounted to 57,2% or in absolute terms 232.757 females.

In the female population, the largest number of unemployed are those with secondary education by 73.440, then those unskilled by 65.481 and those with highly skilled and skilled qualification by 60.301 females, BiH Agency for Statistics reports.
