In Germany, at the end of last year, 190,495 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina lived, BiznisInfo writes on the basis of a comprehensive report on the German population which was published by the State Statistical Institution in Wiesbaden.

Out of that number, there are about 100,000 men and about 90,000 women.

The total number of BiH citizens increased by some ten thousand since at the end of 2017 there were 180,950 in Germany, and at the end of 2016 there were 172,560.

This number increases year by year, but has been particularly intensified lately. For example, in 2011, 153 thousand BiH citizens lived in Germany.

In 2018, a record number of foreigners lived in Germany, and their number increased for around 292,000 in the previous year to 10.9 million.

At the end of 2018, in Germany, somewhere below 83 million people lived, and 10.9 million foreigners only refer to persons with foreign nationality.

The largest inflow of immigrants last year was recorded from the Western Balkans, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania.
