What is the Number of employed Persons in BiH?

The average monthly paid off net earnings per person in employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in August amounted to 925 KM (525.9 U.S. dollars), recording a 4.2 percent increase year-on-year, the country’s agency for statistics said in a report on Wednesday.

The report states that the highest salaries were recorded in financial and insurance activities, 1,527 KM (868 U.S. dollars), while the lowest were recorded in accommodation and food service activities, 576 KM (327 U.S. dollars).

According to BiH Statistics Agency’s last report, in July 2019, the number of employed persons in BiH was 821,791, of which 351,714 were women.

At the same time, there were 406,848 persons on the records of employment services in BiH, according to the BiH’s Labor and Employment Agency.

The report continues by saying that in August this year, the average monthly gross earnings per person in employment amounted to 1,429 KM (812 U.S. dollars), nominally 3.4 percent higher year-on-year.

For comparison, in July 2019, the average monthly gross earnings per person in employment in BiH amounted to 1,439 KM (818 U.S. dollars), 5.3 percent higher year-on-year.
