What is the Number of Unemployed Persons in Bosnia?

In September 2020 the number of registered unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina was 417.957, according to the report by BiH Agency for Statistics issued today.

If we take 2018 as a base year and compare September 2020 with the same month of 2019, we will notice that the number of unemployed increased by 3,5% index points, or in absolute terms the number of people registered as unemployed decreased by 14.602. 

If we compare registered unemployed by qualification structure, we will notice that the largest number of unemployed are highly skilled and skilled by 134.116 followed by those with a high school diploma by 122.432 and unskilled by 110.413. 

The lowest number of unemployed are those with higher education by 6.907, followed by those semi-skilled by 6.992. 

The share of female population in registered unemployed amounted to 57 % or in absolute terms 238.212 females. 

In the female population, the largest number of unemployed are those with secondary education by 77.410, then those unskilled by 64.783 and those with highly skilled and skilled qualification by 61.955 females.
