What is the Percentage of Vaccinated Population in Canton Sarajevo?

A total of 189,778 residents of Sarajevo Canton have so far been vaccinated with two doses of coronavirus vaccine, the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute said.

Of that number, 187,874 people are over the age of 18, representing 57.13 percent of the adult population. The third, booster dose was received by 30,577 citizens of Sarajevo Canton.

These data were collected through the Information System of the Health Insurance Institute of Sarajevo Canton, on the basis of which a weekly section of the vaccination status was made.

As stated, a total of 326,516 doses of vaccines have been given in the institutions of the Sarajevo Canton so far.

“There are 227 patients in hospital for Covid-19 disease. Of this number, 65 were vaccinated with two doses of vaccine, which represents 28.63 percent of those hospitalized, while 71.37 percent of people in hospital were not vaccinated,” they point out. Institute of Public Health of Sarajevo Canton.

The Ministry of Health of the Sarajevo Canton invites citizens to be vaccinated, and reminds that all adult citizens of the Sarajevo Canton can receive the third dose of the vaccine at all points in health centers.
