akbas2Trilateral business forum organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H in cooperation with Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Turkish Committee for Foreign Trade resulted in the agreement between these three countries, and they have discussed the improvement of economic relations between Turkey and B&H as well.

At the symposium which was held at the Hotel Bristol, General Manager of the ZiraatBank BH Ali Riza Akbas, said that they employed 120 people from B&H in their 10 offices in the last three years.

“We are here for 18 years, we are expanding our business and we are planning to open branches in Herzegovina and Republika Srpska as well. We are giving great support to B&H, and only since 2012 the Government of Turkey approved 150 million EUR of loans that are being realized through ZiraatBank,” stated Akbas.

He particularly emphasized historical bonds between Turkey and B&H as one of the additional reasons for Turkey to invest in our country.

“We must have a bigger role in the recovery of economy of B&H and we will continue to work. We have loans in the amount of up to 50,000 EUR for a period of 10 years for small and medium businesses. We will continue to employ and this represents an indication that we have a desire to invest and to help to B&H economy,” concluded Akbas.
