The Ninth Organic Fair which was officially opened yesterday in Visoko continues today at Alije Izetbegovića Square in Zenica.
Within the “Days of Organic Production” thirty exhibitors from across B&H will visit Travnik and Bugojno and present organic products to the citizens.
The most attractive stands at the fair are those owned by beekeepers, as seen every year. One of them is 28-year old economics graduate Ermin Delić from Zenica, representing the company “Zlatne kapi”, which is a certified organic producer.
“I have been a beekeeper for ten years already and my father has been into this trade since before the war. I have been participating at fairs from the beginning of my work. We offer four kinds of honey and the products with cinnamon, black seed, nettle etc. People are most interested in wild flower honey and immune boosting products”, Delić said.
He added that beekeeping is a promising and profitable business and one can make a living from it.
President of the Federation of Associations of organic producers of the Federation of B&H, Sead Herceg, said that the governing structures should recognize the quality of organic production and do everything to start exporting our products outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The fair is being held within the Regional fair of agriculture and eco-tourism “Zlatna Jesen” organized by the Federation of Associations of organic producers of the FB&H and SBC. At the end of the fair the exhibitors will be given recognitions and awards as well as the “Basket of Organic Products”.
