What to expect from the DF – SDA Coalition?

coalitionB&H Presidency Member, Bakir Izetbegović, invited Democratic Front (DF) of B&H and its ministers in the Government of the FB&H to attend the Government’s session in Sarajevo. If not, B&H’s path to Europe, on which a lot of work was done, will be jeopardized.

Izetbegović called an extraordinary press conference yesterday after a meeting with the European Union ambassadors who have expressed their concerns regarding the fact that, when it comes to reforms, B&H is still at a crossroad.

The reform agenda should be adopted at today’s session of the FB&H Government but DF has already announced that ministers from this party will not attend the session. Therefore, Izetbegović urged the DF at the conference to attend the session and adopt a reform agenda that should be ready by Thursday.

“Considering that the meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn as well as the ceremony of signing the Declaration of Acceptance of the reform agenda that are scheduled on Thursday, will not be possible unless the DF comes to the session. They have promised to support reforms and to remain in the government, and today they are announcing that they will not come to the session, “said Izetbegović.

He emphasized that this appeal refers to all parliamentary parties who must adopt the reform agenda at all levels, to stop short-living things and to step out and do what is necessary.

“We do not need another own goal,” he added.

Izetbegovic emphasized that the ruling coalition is not functioning properly and that it is rapidly coming to an end, and all of that because of the appointment of directors on the ruling position of the companies.

Izetbegović also added that the SDA did not request any positions.

“We are ready for moratorium. I just expect the session of FB&H Government, on which agenda is the adoption of the reform agenda, to be held today. We should not make any unnecessary problems,” said Izetbegović.

Asked by reporters whether he tried to contact Komšić and ask him to adopt the agenda, Izetbegović answered that he has called Komšić yesterday, but he could not answer the call and that they will see each other during the week.

“We cannot lose days. Everything was called into question because of positions and appointments,” said Izetbegović and underlined again that, in terms of appointments, the SDA is ready for moratorium.
