The Sarajevo settlement Dobrinja has some of the most damaged streets in the city, and the streets that stand out are Emira Zole street and Boulevard of Mimar Sinan.
Although the important roads on Dobrinja have been reconstructed in the past several years (Senada Poturka and Ante Babića streets), the trend has entered a break due to the project of A transversal.
“The Directorate of Roads of the Sarajevo Canton is currently conducting works on the construction of A transversal At the territory of the settlement Dobrinja. It is currently the main project being implemented in this area and we consider it is a large investment for the settlement Dobrinja which aims at relieving traffic flows and providing better connection with the rest of the city”, it was announced from the Directorate of Roads of the Sarajevo Canton.
As a reminder, the construction of a new boulevard in Sarajevo located between the Sarajevo International Airport and the intersection near the SOS Children’s Village started in early September.
For the next year, the Directorate planned regular maintenance in the settlement Dobrinja, i.e. repairing potholes and conducting smaller repairs on the road and the road band.
“Once the construction of A transversal is completed, the next major project will be the reconstruction which is to include completely new asphalt and setting of curbs at the section from the beginning of A transversal towards the entity line”, the Directorate explained.
Given the deadline for the construction of boulevard, i.e. the fact that the contract on the project was signed for a period of two years, next major project cannot be expected before 2017.
