After the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved the draft negotiation for the conclusion of new interstate agreements with neighboring countries, it is quite certain that the announced BHANSA plan will be realized on the full assumption of responsibility for the provision of air navigation services in the entire airspace of BiH on December 5th this year.
Director of BHANSA, Davorin Primorac, points out that BHANSA with all interested parties in the process of assuming responsibility for providing services agreed with the transition plan for realization of the Phase II Air Traffic Management project of BiH and is now entering the conclusion of new interstate agreements with neighboring countries, the only remaining obligation for BiH to take full control over air space.
“We have fulfilled all the other obligations, and I particularly emphasize staffing and technical equipment for taking control of our airspace. BHANSA has invested enormous efforts with other bodies and institutions in the past years to achieve this goal and now we can say with full certainty that this historic moment will be on December 5th this year, “says Primorac.
BiH has been in 2014 in the process of taking responsibility for providing air navigation services above its territory. At that time, it took control over the space of up to 10,000 meters above the sea level, while the service and control of the airspace of Bosnia and Herzegovina above this altitude continued to provide the providers of neighboring states and accordingly collected revenue, Fena reports.
