The construction of the most demanding section of the highway on Corridor 5C in the central part of BiH should be started by the end of the year, and the loan with the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) in a total value of almost 50 million EUR was agreed for it, as announced by the PE Highways of the FBiH.
“We conducted a pre-qualification public call for the construction of highway section from Nemila to Donja Gracanica on Corridor 5C in the year of 2017. The opening of the bidding will take place at the end of September and we are planning to introduce contractors by the end of the year,” said the Director of Highways of FBiH, Adnan Terzic.
The project includes the construction of 17.7 kilometers long section of the highway on the Corridor 5C on the section Nemila – Donja Gracanica, which includes 5.7-kilometers long sub-section Nemila – Vranduk, 5.1 kilometers long sub-section Vranduk-Ponirak and 6.9 kilometers long sub-section Ponirak – Donja Gracanica, as noted by the PE Highways of the FBiH.
The construction of the most demanding sub-section Vranduk – Ponirak, at which will be constructed a tunnel, two bridges and three viaducts, should start by the end of the year, noted Terzic.
“The Corridor 5C is one of the most important state interests. We are especially grateful to the management of OFID that recognized the interest and the need to get engaged in the construction of the highway on Corridor 5C,” said Bevanda.
After signing the loan agreement, they also discussed the possibility of closing the financial construction for the construction of the highway Sarajevo-Gorazde, as announced by the PE Highways of the FBiH.
