Who are Bosnia’s Main Trade Partners?

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) exported the most goods to Croatia last year, worth around 2.67 billion BAM.

Our second largest market was Germany with 2.66 billion, and the third was Serbia with an export value of 2.33 billion BAM. Followed by Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Montenegro…

On the other hand, last year we imported the most goods from Italy, worth about 3.54 billion BAM, then from Serbia (slightly more than 3 billion) and Germany (3 billion).

Followed by Croatia with 2.84 billion and China with 2.32 billion BAM.

To recall, Germany has been BiH’s biggest partner in imports and exports for years.

In 2022, BiH exported goods worth 17 billion and 974 million BAM, which is 25.9 percent more than in 2021.

Imports in 2022 amounted to 28 billion and 636 million BAM, which is 32.6 percent more than a year earlier.

The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 62.8 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 10 billion 662 million BAM, according to the data of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, Biznis Info reports.
