Who are the new Ambassadors and Consuls of BiH?

Yesterday, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)approved the appointment of new ambassadors, consuls and heads of missions around the world.

The names of the ambassadors nominated by the member of the Presidency, Denis Becirovic, were already known, and yesterday it was announced whom Zeljko Komsic and Zeljka Cvijanovicare sending to diplomatic missions.

Thus, Komsic proposed for ambassadors: Sven Alkalaj, who until now was ambassador to the United Nations (UN), will from now on be our country’s ambassador to the United States (U.S.), journalist Dario Novalic will be ambassador to Slovenia, Vanja Filipovic from the position of ambassador to Great Britain will be the head of the BiH mission to NATO, Slavko Matanovicis going to be the ambassador to Jordan, Danka Savic is going from the Spanish ambassador’s position to the head of the mission in international organizations to Austria, and Mato Zeko to Japan, while Dragan Mihaljevic will be the consul in Istanbul.

The appointment of BiH ambassador to Turkey fell to Becirovic, and he will appoint his candidate for that position after the expiration of the current ambassador Adis Alagic‘s mandate.

As it was found out, Martina Mlinarevic will also receive a second mandate as ambassador to the Czech Republic, as will Branimir Jukic in Montenegro.

Zeljka Cvijanovic proposed these names as ambassadors: Sinisa Berjan (China), Sinisa Bencun (Austria), Dragan Vukovic(Greece), Dragan Jacimovic (North Macedonia), Obrad Kesic(Head of the BiH Mission to the European Union – EU), Biljana Gutic Bjelica (Hungary), Milorad Zivkovic (Romania), Aleksandar Vranjes (Serbia), Bojan Vujic (head of the BiH mission to the UN in Geneva), Boro Bronza (Switzerland), Koviljka Spiric (Poland), Dusko Kovacevic (Israel), Aleksandar Bogdanic (Canada), Aleksandra Micic (Bulgaria), Bojan Djokic(United Arab Emirates), Tatjana Telic (consul in Chicago), Vera Sajic (consul in Stuttgart).

To recall, Obrad Kesic, who will now represent BiH in the EU, was previously the head of the Republika Srpska (RS)representative office in the U.S.

It is already known that Becirovic proposed for ambassadors: Osman Topcagic (Great Britain), Erol Avdovic (Belgium), Zlatko Lagumdzija (UN), Haris Basic (Council of Europe), Amira Arifovic-Harms (Italy), Damir Arnaut (Germany), Anesa Kundurovic (Denmark), Elma Kovacevic-Bajtal (Croatia), Klix.ba reports.
