Who are the Winners of the 6 April Award?

12834682_1123014437749511_1598457607_nWinners of the award “6 April Award of the City of Sarajevo” in 2016 are Hadžan Konjo, Mirsad Fazlagić, Milomir Kovačević Strašni and the Association “Obrazovanje gradi BiH” (Education Builds BiH).

Milomir Kovačević Strašni is an artist in photography and something of a legend of Sarajevo; Hadžan Konjo was a fighter in the war and now he is a therapist who provides medical, psychological and social support to his fellow fighters every day; Mirsad Fazlagić is a famous BiH football player and coach, while the Association “Obrazovanje gradi BiH” is led by Jovan Divjak.

Recipient of the award “Key to the City of Sarajevo” is the High Representative of the international community in BiH Valentin Inzko.

The award “Sarajevo Snowflake” is presented to the pupils of the elementary school “Osman Nakaš” and Ilma Kazazić, while the “Letter of Thanks of the City of Sarajevo” was presented to the teachers Sanela Ljumanović and Anisa Šetkić-Sendić.

Decision on these prestigious awards was reached yesterday at the session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo which was dedicated to the presentation of the 6 April Award. This award is presented to prominent individuals, groups and collectives for significant achievements and extraordinary successes in all fields of political and social life.

Awards will be presented by the Mayor of Sarajevo at the official session of the City Council.
