The Sava River Basin Agency has published a forecast of an emergency hydrological state for the period from 25 to 27 November 2025. The Jošavka and Pliva rivers have overflowed their banks, causing flooding that has endangered several households.

The mayor of the municipality, Snežana Ružičić, said that patients are unable to access the Family Medicine Clinic, and that the route of part of the M5 highway, as well as the regional road where traffic is difficult, is at risk.

A family evacuated in Donja Drežnica

During the night on the Drežanka River, north of Mostar, water spilled onto the road in Drežnica below the swimming area, and in Donja Drežnica – Novo Naselje, water threatened a house, which is why one family was evacuated during the night.

The Civil Protection Operations Center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton has put emergency flood protection measures in force on the Trebižat River.

Also, regular flood defense measures are in force on the Neretva River in Glavatičevo, on the Buna River and on the Radobolja River.
