wilzWe expect the leadership in BiH to accelerate the activities on meeting the conditions set by NATO ministers of foreign affairs in Tallinn in April 2010, said Brigadier General Giselle Wilz, the Commander of NATO in BiH.

According to her, there is a lot of work that remains to be done in order to attain the higher level of security of the citizens of BiH.

“When it comes to the Membership Action Plan, BiH received invitation to MAP in April 2010, but the North Atlantic Council will not accept the first annual national program until all immovable defense properties that are meant for future defense, get registered on the state of BiH in order for it to be used by the Ministry of Defense of BiH, “said Wilz.

Therefore, according to her, it is up to the authorities of BiH to reach the necessary agreement on military property and put it into practice.

“BiH has been a partner of NATO for 10 years and works on a number of tasks related to NATO accession. Defense reform is a major part of these efforts, and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of BiH have shown great dedication to complex tasks of building the unified armed forces and skills development for working with NATO forces,” concluded Wilz.
