Players of FC Sarajevo recorded an important victory in the 25th round of the Football Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina and regained the leading position.
“Maroon“ team won against the FC Slavija in Lukavica with a result of 3:2 in last minutes of the match and on that way, succeeded to win three important games in a race for winning a title of champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sarajevo arrived to Lukavica with an intention to win three points and regain the leading position, while on the other hand, Slavija needed points to ensure the survival in the company of the best ones.
In a difficult match, FC Sarajevo justified the role of favorites, although host players offered a worthy resistance. Guests led in the 4th minute by the goal of Leon Benko, but Slavija equalized seven minutes later with a goal of Hodzurda.
Host led in the 31st minute with a nice shot of Radosavljevic from the free kick. First half has been finished with the result of 2:1 for Slavija.
Guests came to the equalizing goal in the 61st minute by Velkoski, after which the math was abandoned for 20 minutes due to riots on the stands.
Until the end of the match, both teams had a good chances for new goals, but winning goal and new points in a race for the title of champion of BiH scored Milos Stojcev in the injury time, when it seemed that the match will finish with no winner.
