The play “The Wizard” by Fedor Šili, directed by Boris Liješević, talks about the life of Thomas Mann.
The plot covers the period from 1891, when Tomas Man was a fifteen year-old schoolboy, until 1949, when his son Klaus committed suicide. Seemingly biographical, this drama, in addition to the facts based on motifs of Mann’s literary works and historical data on his life, meshes biographical facts and fictional events and characters within it. This play was not conceived as a biography of Thomas Mann, but as a theater play. The spectator, from the outset, is an active participant in this play.
Running time: 100 min.
The play will be held at the National Theater on the address Obala Kulina bana 9.
