Wizz Air suspends Flights to several Destinations in BiH

Wizz Air confirmed today that they are planning to adjust the network and optimize the market of their flights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, moving their two planes based in Tuzla to other bases within the network in September of this year.

It is doing so due to the changing economic environment, as well as operational challenges caused by the weather in the region and to take advantage of growth opportunities by reallocating its capacity to other routes with higher demand. Although several routes will be suspended, Wizz Air will continue with flights from Tuzla to Basel Mulhouse, Dortmund, Frankfurt-Hahn and Memmingen.

“Passengers affected by these changes will be notified by email and will be given the option of a 120% refund of the original fare in the form of an airline credit, a 100% cash refund or an alternative flight. All employees of the headquarters in Tuzla will be offered the possibility of redeployment to other bases of Wizz Air”, the company announced.

Wizz Air, they add, remains committed to long-term growth in the Balkans, creating hundreds of jobs and stimulating the tourism and hospitality industry at the same time. In the past twelve months, Wizz Air has announced the deployment of new aircraft in Tirana, Skopje and Belgrade and the launch of new routes to Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Greece, Spain and many other countries.
