Hungarian government offered to participate in the costs of flights, therefore expressing their willingness to support the sustainability of the line.

“After Tuzla, which remains our headquarters in BiH, we intend to establish flights from Sarajevo, which is a very important destination for us. After that, we are also interested in investing in the Sarajevo Airport,” explained the Director of WIzz Air, József Ujhelyi, at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH Saša Dalipagić that was held yesterday in Sarajevo.

In addition to airports in Tuzla and Sarajevo, the company Wizz Air intends to increase its presence on the BiH market in the future, which would mean their expansion to the Mostar Airport as well.

When it comes to bilateral relations between BiH and Hungary, Dalipagić and other participants at the meeting greeted the good political relations between the two countries and expressed readiness for the development of cooperation in all areas.

During the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Magyar Levente and the Hungarian Ambassador to BiH Márton Kovács which was held yesterday, the Deputy Minister Dalipagić highlighted that connection with all countries of the world, the region, and especially countries of the European Union which also includes Hungary, is of great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I want to stress that our Ministry has been intensely working on establishing connections with other countries in the field of transport, through its various forms, whether by means of road, railway, air or water, whether it is the transport of passengers or goods, and in the field of information systems and communication. One of the most significant projects for BiH is the highway on the Pan-European Corridor 5C: Budapest-Osijek-Sarajevo-Ploče, which will connect us to the main European road network and the global European social and economic system,” Dalipagić stated.
