Wizzair, as the first low-cost Eastern European company, wants to be the first company of this kind in Europe and overtake their direct competitor Ryanair, which specialized in the market of Western Europe. They are hoping to achieve it with the new tariff model.
The current practice that the passengers can carry luggage up to 10 kg in the cabin will be replaced by the rule “Combined-Weight Limit’’ f combined weight limit for passengers and luggage. For only 9.99 EUR in the basic version, passengers who have Body-Mass-Index (BMI) of 20 with 7 kg of personal baggage, will have the so called “priority boarding”, for only 3 EUR.
Members of Wizzair Club will have more benefits, and except cheaper ticket price by 10 EUR per flight they will also be able to bring 5 kg luggage more. This rule will be checked directly during checking and scanning passengers at the entrance to the waiting room.
Wizzair wishes to save on kerosene in this way and to be even more competitive in the market of cheap flights. The aim of Wizzair is to improve awareness of passengers on their personal health and protection our environment.
The new ticket prices will be officially on sale from the 4th of April and passengers will get 10 kg more on personal weight on the first orders.
