Mira_RicardelFor approval before the US Senate came Nomination for the position of Deputy Secretary of Commerce, responsible for the trafficking of most sensitive goods such as weapons and different technologies of Mira Radielovic-Ricardel, American with Bosnian roots, whose father Peter Radielovic is from Breza.

As confirmed at the website of the US Senate, under the item PN364 is the administration of the US President Donald Trump that proposed Mira Radielovic-Ricardel to the Ministry of Trade, as reported by Vecernji list BiH.

She previously worked as the Assistant to the Minister of Defense for International Security Policy during the administration of George W. Bush in the period from 2003 to 2005, and she worked closely with the then Minister of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld.

She spoke about BiH, the country of her roots, in her address to the US Congress in July 2004, and advocated for its path towards NATO. In those years was active the intensive search for Radovan Karadzic, and Radielovic noted that that criminal is cancer for BiH.

Mira comes from the old medieval noble family of Radielovic from Fojnica.

“His deep love for the land of his fathers was the reflection of that historical consciousness to which he was so proud,” wrote Anto Cuvalo on the occasion of the death of Mira’s father Petar Radielovic.

Before Radielovic-Ricardel, there was another woman originally from BiH in the higher US administration. It is Capricija Marshall Penavic from Siroki Brijeg. Marshall was involved in the campaign of Hillary Clinton, and she was in the office at the White House during the first term of President Barack Obama.
