I have always been taught that real things are in us, and not in our surroundings, and I have been raised to constantly search for something new and unknown. I also really love nature and photography, and therefore travels always represent a real challenge for me,” said Sanja Krnjajic from BH town of Bugojno.
She said that she got the first opportunity to see other cities and cultures outside of BiH back in 1988 and she went on a journey that “gave her freedom to see whatever she wanted”.
She already visited around fifty countries all over the world, and she usually combines her annual vacations with volunteering in the places she visits.
” I was in Kenya in 2007 and 2008 and I volunteered in a small community on the island of Simoni for two months. I would also mention my visit to a wildlife refuge in Thailand. These experiences cannot be compared with a two-month journey through the countries of South America nor living with a family in Cuba,” she stated.
Sanja also noted that her experiences from Sri Lanka are just priceless, which, due to the way its citizens treat tourists could be called the “land of smiles” and South Korea from which she brought unforgettable memories and more than 2,000 photos.
She also stated that between the new car or furniture, or some interesting trips, she usually choses trips, and those journeys are not expensive.
There are also some countries that “emotionally took over her, but also made her sad,” such as Cambodia, where she would always return to volunteer with children – mine victims.
When asked whether she is planning some new trip, Sanja said that she has no plans for now, but she would like to go to some Central American countries.
