World Meteorology Organization (WMO) and the international meteorology organization celebrate the World Meteorology Day every year. This is a day that marks the entry into force of the WMO Convention on 23 March 1950.

Recognizing the important role that young people will have in the future, on occasion of this year’s World Meteorology Day, the World Meteorology Organization has chosen the 2014 theme as ‘Time and Climate-Including Youth’.
