Tuzla native Dr. Edhem Custovic announced the arrival of Professor Adnan Mehonic at the Futures Leaders Summit 2025.
He called him a giant of world science.
“With exceptional pride, we announce the arrival of yet another outstanding speaker at FLS 2025, Dr. Adnan Mehonic, one of the global leaders in the field of nanoelectronics, memristive technologies, and hardware for artificial intelligence.
Dr. Mehonic is an associate professor at University College London (UCL) in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, as well as an RAEng Senior Research Fellow. He is a scientist whose name has stood for years at the very top of European and world science, and his biography reads like a catalogue of the greatest research achievements: author of more than 100 scientific papers in the field of memristive technologies, 12 patents in resistance-switching technologies, co-founder of the spinout company IntrinSic Semiconductor Technology, which has so far attracted more than 15 million pounds of investment (around 33.600.960 BAM), where he is also the CTO, director of the prestigious MSc programme in Nanotechnology at UCL, founder and editor-in-chief of the journal APL Machine Learning,” Custovic stated.
He added that Dr. Mehonic is also the recipient of numerous recognitions, including: RAEng Research Fellowship (2017-2022); RAEng Senior Research Fellowship (2022-2027); MIT Innovators Under 35; Wiley Advanced Science Rising Star; E-MRS EU-40 Materials Prize.
“These are achievements most scientists can only dream of, and behind it all is one Sarajevan, our own, whose work is changing the future of energy-efficient AI and next-generation technologies,” Custovic emphasized.
The Futures Leaders Summit begins on December 19th and runs until December 21st, 2025.
