Worsening epidemiological Situation in the Federation, stricter Measures are being introduced

A member of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, Goran Cerkez, warned yesterday at a press conference after the session of that body that such a large number of people infected with the coronavirus leads to the new measures.

Therefore, more restrictive measures have been adopted and they are related to gatherings, and the number of people indoors is reduced from 50 to 30, and facilities that implement the VPT rule (vaccinated, recovered, tested) can have 60 people indoors.

The maximum number of outdoor gatherings is 100, but with the VPT rule, up to 200 people are allowed, but all larger gatherings are not possible, and cantonal staffs can only introduce more restrictive measures, told Cerkez, and cannot make exceptions when it comes to gatherings.

Also, from now on, the confirmation that someone recovered from Covid-19 disease is valid for four instead of six months, the antigen test is valid for 24 hours, and the PCR test is valid for 48 hours instead of the previous 72 hours.

“Three doses of the vaccine are the only protection against omicron. They protect from 70 to 80 percent. The number of new cases is expected to increase, and we urge all people to adhere to the measures, we recommend avoiding city public transport, gathering, and going to places where there are more people,” Cerkez mentioned.

Last week, 10.847 third doses were recorded, mostly in CantonSarajevo (CS), but many people were vaccinated with the second dose, 3.500, while 2.000 were vaccinated for the first time, and Sinisa Skocibusic, Director of the Public Health Institute of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), called on everyone to vaccinate so that could be one of the measures in the fight against this wave of pandemics.
