Mladi u Londonu 1A group of young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina who currently reside in London, are participating in a three-week program organized by the British Embassy at Queen Mary University. The students  attend the Fellowship program for future leaders at the university.

The program was organized by the UK government to ensure the best possible progress of a British-German initiative that may provide socio-economic solutions for BiH.

Among those chosen is Edita Velić from Goražde. “I was chosen together with twenty successful people from the spheres of politics, business and civil society. We are here for two weeks. We are generally attending lectures, discussions and visiting institutions,” said Velic for the Klix.ba.

The  British Embassy’s fellowship program for future leaders is called  Collaborative Public Leadership and Policy-making; Lessons from the United Kingdom.

“At the  Queen Mary University we have an opportunity to learn about the British model of planning and conduct of policy. Under the program, we  have visited the Minister for Europe, the British Parliament, and we plan to visit the BBC. Lecturers under the program are experts in economics and international politics, and well-known journalists, such as David Walker of the Guardian “, added Edita.

“Given the fact that there is a strong link with Bosnia and Herzegovina and in view of the British-German initiative, they are eager to work with us to ensure the progress of initiatives that offer  socio-economic solutions for BiH”, explains Velic.
