Eighteen-year-old J.M. from Livno, died today at the Department of Anesthesia, Reanimation and Intensive Treatment of SKB Mostar as a result of drowning in the lake.

The young man lost his battle for life despite the efforts of the doctors of the Department of Anesthesia, Reanimation and Intensive Care, where he had been hospitalized since Sunday.

His older brother, 24-year-old A.M. died as a result of drowning in SKB Mostar two days after hospitalization and doctors fighting for his life.

Namely, on Sunday, July 28, around 6:50 p.m., employees of the Livno Police Department intervened on a report that two men, who later turned out to be brothers, were drowning at Lake Mandek near Livno.

The first to enter the lake was an 18-year-old man, who immediately began to drown. His older brothers tried to save him, but as they were both poor swimmers, they soon disappeared into the lake.

The other swimmers first pulled the younger brother out of the lake, and a little later the older one. The employees of the PU Livno and the Emergency Medical Service of the Livno Health Center went to the scene and provided medical assistance to the two young men.

The young men were immediately transported to the County Hospital in Livno, and later they were sent to SKB Mostar for further treatment, where they died.
