Young People from B&H at the Workshop Dedicated to Business Ideas

startup-weekendFifty young person from all around B&H gathered at the third Startup Weekend organized by the Agency for development of small and medium companies of RS at Vlašić.

Within the specific workshop these young people will be working on developing their business ideas – was communicated from this agency.

Organized as teams, with the help of professional mentors from Greece, Macedonia and B&H, they will learn how to transform their ideas into business plans and how to present them to the professional jury which will finally decide on the best idea.

This year’s Startup Weekend is organized by the Agency for development of small and medium companies in cooperation with the Association for the promotion of entrepreneurship START and financed by the USA Embassy in B&H whose representative Marija Stavropolos welcomed the participants and wished them success in their work.

The first Startup Weekend was organized in 2011 and it was the first event of this kind in B&H. It was held within the “Global week of entrepreneurship” – the world campaign for raising awareness about entrepreneurship in the young population and with a goal to stimulate the young population in B&H to think and act in this field.

Last year, this event was organized in 1500 locations in 750 towns around the world and at the last two events organized by the Agency there were around 80 young people from all parts of B&H.

The Startup Weekend will end this Sunday, September 28th when the winning business idea will be pronounced.
