Coach’s statements
Savo Milošević:
“I have played many derbies in my life. The team that played better and better when I played never won. The decision on the field was always based on who had a calmer head, who wanted more, who wanted to make an extra effort on the field. Each individual player, and then as a team.
My wish is for my team to give their best in the derby. It is generally the most important thing in every game. And let’s see how much it is enough for. The opponent has outstanding individuals and as a team they are strong. We will have to do a lot of things well to get a good result in the derby.”
Mario Cvitanovic:
You have responsibility and expectations when you are a coach of Sarajevo or Željo every day. Is it pressure or just responsibility for the position and what you do? In itself, being a player or coach of Sarajevo is a big deal. It is, I repeat, a privilege. I wouldn’t say pressure, but responsibility.
I enjoyed the last derby, the game and my role in that derby. I want the players to repeat that tomorrow. To simply play football, to enjoy what they are doing. We have been preparing all week. Every game is important, but the derby is something much more important than the game itself.”
