Zoran Galic is no longer the Deputy Director of the SIPA

Zoran Galić is no longer the deputy director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković after today’s session of the BiH Council of Ministers.

“We made a decision on his dismissal, preventing a potential problem so that he could receive severance pay. He does not have any conditions for a pension and he deserved to be dismissed earlier,” Konaković said.

He announced that this is why he is starting to announce a competition for the new deputy director of SIPA.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the initiative of Sabina Ćudić, representative of Our Party, which calls for the dismissal of Zoran Galić.

The initiative was supported by 30 MPs, while four were against it.

Since July 9, Galić has been on the run and is not accessible to the judicial authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Prosecutor’s Office suspects him of abusing the position of director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Galić held that position from 2014 to 2023.
