Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH Denis Zvizdic, met today with the Deputy Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN, Ambassador Richard Mills, and on that occasion thanked the United States for its support to our country.

Current political situation

Chairman Zvizdic informed Ambassador Mills about the current political situation in BiH and the ongoing processes related to the blockade of state institutions, and the attempt to take over the competencies of state institutions and their illegal or unconstitutional transfer to the RS entity level. Of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Mills made it clear that the United States strongly respects the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that ideas of any division or secessionism are completely unacceptable.

BiH needs to get back on track

Chairman Zvizdic and Mills agreed that BiH should return to the rails towards European and NATO integration. They condemned all processes that could lead to any secession or demolition of the achieved level of quality and functioning of state institutions.

Chairman Zvizdic said that he greatly appreciated the support of the US Representative in the UN Security Council to the work of the OHR and High Representative Christian Schmidt.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of BiH to the UN Sven Alkalaj.
