Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico and Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn signed yesterday in Brussels the Protocol attached to the Stabilization and Association Agreement, so that the accession of a new member country to the European Union would be taken into consideration, in this case of the Republic of Croatia.
Chairman Zvizdić thanked the Slovakian Prime Minister Fico for the friendly support to the EU integration of BiH and for encouraging the enlargement process during the presidency of Slovakia of the EU.
Chairman Zvizdić also thanked the Commissioner Hahn and his associates for highly constructive role of the European Commission in the process of EU integration of BiH and said that these negotiations proved that BiH has professional and technical capacities for leading negotiations.
By signing the Protocol, BiH rounded a very productive and visible progress on the path of EU integration.
Signing of the Protocol is an integral part of the integration process and finalization of this process was one of three key conditions for BiH to ensure continuation and intensification of the process of EU integration.
Together with economic reforms, the rule of law and fight against all forms of crime, terrorism and corruption, as well as the strengthening of regional cooperation, this process was the highest priority of this convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
