Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić today received the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Brian Aggeler, and informed him about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the process of establishing the government after the October elections.
They also discussed the legislative priorities of the BiH PA House of Representatives after obtaining candidate status, and the fulfillment of the remaining fourteen priorities for membership in the European Union.
Chairman Zvizdić said that in the coming period, the adoption of several important laws on the EU path is planned. He pointed out that BiH already adopted the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations in the first quarter of this year.
Zvizdić emphasized that a special priority in this mandate will be the fight against corruption and that the adoption of the Strategy is also planned in the coming period.
Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Aggeler agreed that corruption is a serious social problem that harms BiH and causes families to leave BiH.
They also discussed the cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period, the Press Service of the BiH PA announced.
