The Agreement on Design and Construction of the Šepak-Novi Grad Gas Pipeline was signed today in Banja Luka. It is a framework agreement worth 1.29 billion BAM with VAT, excluding expropriation costs.

The contractor is a consortium led by the “Konvar” company which also includes companies such as “Gasteh” from Inđija, “Radis” from East Sarajevo, “Zavod za zavarivanje” from Belgrade, and “Jokić invest” from Zvornik.

The pipeline encompasses a route approximately 500 kilometerslong, and the project will be implemented in three phases – from Šepak to Banja Luka, the construction of branch pipelines for 18 local communities, and the Banja Luka-Novi Grad route.

The work is expected to start mid-summer this year, while the deadline for completion of the project is four years.

This project represents one of the biggest infrastructure and energy investments in Republika Srpska. Its goal is to enhance gas infrastructure and energy supply security.

The agreement was signed by Nedeljko Elek, the Director of the “Sarajevo-gas” company from East Sarajevo, and by Miloš Petrović, the Director of the “Konvar” company from Belgrade.

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, and the Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar Đokić, attended the signing of the agreement.
