fair210th Jubilee anniversary the October Book Fair, which is traditionally held at this time of the year, gathered 25 participants, publishers and booksellers.

Classics of world literature and professional literature from several fields, university editions, children’s literature, bestsellers and books with religious themes will be presented at the stands from the 13th to 23rd of October.

“Number of visits is excellent, sales are slightly lower, but exhibitors are satisfied in general. Great books and even better prices are prepared for all visitors, and discounts are ranging from 30 % to 60 %” said the organizer Almir Zalihic, from the publishing house Zalihica.

Publishing house Libris is participating on this fair every year, and they noted that citizens are aware that they are generally publishing religious literature, and they are usually seeking for religious titles.

“When the weather is nice, people are walking and buying books along the way. They are mostly looking for new editions of the stories of Nasruddin Hoca, then “The most beautiful stories from the Qur’an.” The prices are fair prices, smaller books cost from less than 2 BAM, while collections are costing up to 200 BAM,” as said from Libris.

Books, according to the organizer, are buying citizens of all ages, students and high school students mostly, as well as older people.
