IzetbegovićA member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic said that he is ready to make the first move that will lead to the normalization of the situation in BiH.

“I would love to do that, however I think it will take time to calm passions. I understand my colleagues from the Serbian side, however their reaction is exaggerated. There is no reason for me to leave the function because I have done what they did not want, “said Izetbegovic.

Moreover, he said that he believes that the representatives of the other two peoples would do the same thing if on the place of Bosniaks would be their people, and if their nation suffered as Bosniaks did during the war.

In addition, he asked why the Serbian politicians identified themselves with the regime of Slobodan Milosevic and called them to stop behave in that manner.

Izetbegovic said that the relation between him and Mladen Ivanic works quite normal, but that he did not see him since the last session and that they are generally do not meet on a daily basis.

“That day, we had a concrete meeting, we shook hands at the end and intended to work to return to stability,” said Izetbegovic.

“We have tried to enhance the reforms and the path to the European integration. We did a great effort, but there are things that are more important than all the others,” continues Izetbegovic.

He rejected the charge that he agrees with further federalization of BiH, which would ultimately lead to the creation of a third entity.

“I went to Strasbourg to warn my colleagues from the EPP that the principles of federalism do not lay the foundation for a third entity. There is no country with more principles of federalism than BiH.” said Izetbegovic.
