healthy-hospitalsA collective agreement with the union representatives of health workers was signed yesterday in the Unsko-Sanski Canton. This Canton is the fifth in the Federation which has signed a collective agreement.

The agreement was signed between Minister of Health and Social Policy of USC Salih Mesic and Mirsad Muhamedagić, president of the Union of health workers of USC.

“This is a solemn moment and certainly the most important document in the field of health in the USC in the last ten years. I hope that the effects of it will actually be felt soon. I am thankful to representatives of the trade unions for the very fair and fast negotiations,” said Minister Mesic.

Namely, signing a contract means an increase in the total income of all health workers in health centers and the cantonal hospital, since the hourly rate increased from 2.0 to 2.35.

“Currently, we need to align all enactments and rules of procedure in accordance with the new Labour Act and the collective agreement, in order from 1st  May to have an access to the application of the treaty,” said Mirsad Muhamedagić, president of the union.

Prime Minister of USC Husein Rosic said that the increase in hourly rate will not leave negative effects and burden the budget of cantons.
