Analysis of Export and Import between BiH and Serbia

POLAND-RUSSIA-APPLES-EMBARGOThe total trade between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia in 2016 amounted to 1.52 billion euros, showing an increase of 5.8 percent compared to 2015. The surplus in trade in favor of Serbia amounted to 712.6 million euros, is announced from the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

BiH occupies third place in the total exports of Serbia in the past year.

Exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Serbia amounted to EUR 1.11 billion, which is six percent more than in 2015, while imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia increased by 5.3 percent compared to 2015 and amounted to 406 million euros.

In 2016, Serbia mostly exported corn, sunflower oil, gas oil, wheat plain, products for animal nutrition, sweet biscuits, waffles, sunflower seed, and cigarettes containing tobacco.

In 2016, Serbia mostly imported the following from BiH: coke, semi-coke, retort carbon, unsorted goods, wire, television, coils of iron and other alloys, rods of iron and steel, electricity, raspberries without sugar, containers of glass and lubricating oil.

According to data issued by the Central Bank of BiH, Serbian investments show that the flow of direct investments from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the period 2006 to 2015, amounted to 1.95 billion, or 999.07 billion.

According to these data, Serbia is on the first place when it comes to the flow of direct investments in BiH.

According to information from “Bisnodea” of December 2016, the total number of active business entities from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Serbia amounted to 1,603, of which 328 legal entities and 735 individuals.
